Disney revealed new details about a number of the studio's forthcoming flicks, including "Gnomeo and Juliette" (previously known as "Gnome Story"), a Romeo and Juliet-ish romance, at a screening on September 22, 2005.

It's still not sure if Gnomeo will have a similarly tragic ending, but the film closely parallels Shakespeare's classic romance, with two star crossed lovers from two feuding families.

Rocket Pictures, the film company run by Elton John and David Furnish, is producing the project. Elton performed a song for attendees of the event, and it was announced that Elton songs will be featured in the forthcoming film.

Gnomeo and Juliette is tentatively set for a 2008 release.
