Celebrity auction includes Elton Gold Record
Wednesday, October 19 2005 |
New York Restoration Project has an new online auction that coincides with their Hulaween gala in New York City on October 31, 2005.
At the gala, Sting and Trudie Styler will be honored for their environmental work, Sir Elton John will perform, and Martin Short will serve as auctioneer for five sensational “live” celebrity auction lots.
The auction is now open for bidding and has some interesting lots including spending a day with Martha Stewart, being on set with Robert DeNiro and listen to Faith Hill record a Holiday album in her studio.
There also is a Gold Record for "Madman Across The Water" from Elton John, signed by the man hymself.
One of the strangest but also most fun sounding lots is the chance to play bocce ball with Glenn Close in Maine (who knew Glenn was a bocce ball fan?).
The auction also includes vacations, a gown from Goldie Hawn, a necklace from Better Midler and a Toyota is donating a 2006 Prius which will be driven to the winner’s driveway by Sarah Jessica Parker and Bette Midler. The bidding wraps up on November 8, 2005.
