David Buckley (the freelance writer and Mojo scribe who wrote the recent four-star review of "The Captain And The Kid") has some interesting news for all Elton John fans.

David has previously written biographies of David Bowie, R.E.M., the Stranglers and Roxy Music and his new book will be a biography of Elton John.

To be published early in 2007 by Andre Deutsch it’s entitled "Captain Fantastic: Elton John – the Biography". David is currently busy writing the book, but has let slip that it will contain exclusive interview material from a wide range of associates both past and present including Ray Cooper, Gary Osborne, Kiki Dee, Paul Buckmaster, Clive Franks, John Jorgenson, Charlie Morgan, Ken Scott, members of Bluesology, Elton’s old piano teacher, and also the webmaster of this very Elton John website!
