On December 15, 2005, Sir Elton John performed three songs during the José Carreras Gala in Leipzig, Germany. Of course Sir Elton performed live at a black piano. He did three songs solo.

First he sang "Your Song". After a short break and some other performances, Elton did a fantastic version of "Daniel". I´ve heard many "Daniel" versions, solo or with the band, but this solo version was really special. He emphasized every word so emotional and he was really into the song.

After that, José Carreras came on stage and sang a duet with Elton: "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word". And again ... a fantastic version sung by Elton and I must say that I prefer Elton´s voice more than José´s. Sorry but I think José´s voice doesn´t fit to pop songs and Elton has a stronger voice than José.

Those fantastic performances of Elton solo at the black piano showed me it is time for Elton to do a solo tour again. Come on Elton ...
